AI Architect / AI Solution Architect (m/f/d)

For a challenging AI transformation project with a client in the telecommunications sector, we are looking for an experienced AI Architect / AI Solution Architect (m/f/d) in Vienna. The focus is not on classical IT architecture, but on the conception, evaluation and implementation of modern Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI architectures. We are looking for an experienced personality who can strategically assess AI technologies, develop scalable architectures and drive innovative AI solutions in an enterprise environment together with business departments, IT teams and technical stakeholders. You will take on a central role in the architecture of modern AI solutions and support the client in integrating AI use cases into existing system landscapes in a technically sound, secure and sustainable manner. Conditions Location: Vienna Start: ASAP Duration: 12 months+ option for extension Capacity: 100 % Working model: Hybrid, 2 days per week on site in Vienna Project language: English €520 - €560 a day Your Tasks • Development and design of modern AI and Generative AI architectures • Conception of scalable, secure and future-proof AI solutions in an enterprise environment • Analysis, evaluation and selection of suitable AI technologies, frameworks and platforms • Architecture consulting for AI-based solutions and use cases • Integration of AI solutions into existing IT, data and cloud landscapes • Collaboration with business departments, data science teams, developers, IT and other stakeholders • Evaluation and use of modern AI tools, including Claude and comparable LLM solutions • Creation of architecture concepts, technical documentation and decision papers • Support in the definition of AI governance, security and compliance requirements • Ensuring scalability, maintainability and technical quality of AI architectures • Accompanying AI use cases from the idea through technical conception to implementation • Moderation of technical alignments, workshops and architecture reviews Your Profile At least 6+ years of experience in IT architecture, solution architecture or enterprise architecture Proven experience as an AI Architect, AI Solution Architect or in a comparable AI-related architecture role Very good knowledge in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Generative AI Very good knowledge of Python Experience with Large Language Models and modern AI tools, ideally Claude Sound understanding of AI architectures, data architectures, APIs and integration patterns Experience in the conception and implementation of enterprise architectures Experience in the evaluation and introduction of modern AI technologies and platforms Knowledge in the field of AI governance, AI security and Responsible AI Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, data science, Artificial Intelligence or comparable AI certifications Very good written and spoken English skills Structured, independent and consulting-oriented way of working Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Nice to Have Experience in the telecommunications environment Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Knowledge of MLOps, LLMOps or AI platform architectures Experience with prompt engineering, RAG architectures or agent-based AI systems Experience in international project environments Knowledge of security, data protection and compliance requirements in the AI context Further AI, cloud or architecture certifications What You Can Expect Participation in an innovative AI project in the telecommunications environment Exciting technological environment with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI High level of personal responsibility and opportunities to shape the architecture Collaboration with international stakeholders and technical expert teams Hybrid working model with 2 days per week on site in Vienna Opportunity to actively shape modern AI architectures Long-term relevant project environment with high strategic importance Interested?
