Data Science Engineer (f/m/d)

We're an AI-native company giving BMW Group, Hilti and Lufthansa real-time visibility into supply chain risks before they become headlines. We're looking for a Data Science Engineer who takes ownership of turning vast, complex data into actionable intelligence from day one. Someone who uses AI as a default part of how they work - and knows when to trust their own judgment. • Decode the data – Leverage natural language processing (NLP) to extract meaning from diverse datasets. • Think like a scientist – Formulate hypotheses, uncover patterns, and pinpoint optimization opportunities. • Build smarter AI – Develop, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning models using Torch and TensorFlow. • Bridge research & reality – Transform cutting-edge algorithms into production-ready solutions. • Keep models sharp – Monitor, enhance, and continuously improve model performance and accuracy. • Expand the data universe – Identify and integrate new data sources to enrich our intelligence. • Collaborate & innovate – Work with cross-functional teams to tackle business challenges with data-driven solutions. You are the right fit if you have: • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields • 3+ years of experience in developing, deploying and scaling machine learning models to production • Experience with NLP or other machine learning technologies, machine learning techniques and tools like Torch or Tensorflow • Good experience in working with Python and Scala  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases • Strong problem-solving skills, comfortable with ambiguity and open-ended questions • End-to-end ownership, from prototyping a model to deploying and monitoring it in production Nice to have: • Master’s degree in a related field • Understanding of cloud-based services, especially Google Cloud Platform or AWS • Knowledge of NoSQL database systems • Knowledge of agile software development techniques • Experience with agent engineering and AI tools like Cursor, Claude etc.  We're a robust AI-native team building an AI-native resilience product - and we hire for both.
