Your main tasks and responsibilities • Manage product development projects (pre- and post-marketing) for drugs and drug/device combination products in the business units Critical Care and Immunotherapy • Propose, initiate, plan, monitor, document and close complex projects. Apply XLPM project management standards • Report progress, communicate risk and escalate issues to the Steering Group and executive management • Coordinate and lead several multi-disciplinary, cross-functional project teams across Octapharma sites and with academia partners, CROs and C(D)MOs • Integrate drug development at all stages by closely interacting with all internal and external stakeholders including scientists, engineers, manufacturers, clin-ops, regulatory managers and product managers, contributing with technical insights as required • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage, and apply this knowledge to inform technical and scientific decision-making • Support best practice sharing between project management groups within the organization Your expertise and ideal skill set • University degree (MSc, PhD, or equivalent) in natural sciences in combination with min. 1.5 years of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical company • Experience in project management (PM certification/qualification is a plus) • Proficiency with digital tools and technologies • Interpersonal and leadership skills to build credibility and influence experts and functional leaders • Communication skills to set objectives and promote a strong team culture with open discussion • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Willingness to travel (5-10 %) • Fluent English (oral and written), German is a plus Your department - where you make an impact • We, the International Business Unit (IBU), place our emphasis on areas such as corporate marketing, the development and execution of strategic initiatives, business and portfolio development efforts for Critical Care, Haematology, and Immunotherapy. • The IBU Project Management team is responsible for the effective management of product development projects.
