We value teamwork, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth, and we are excited to welcome a new Ignition System Expert to our engineering organization.What INNIO offers you: • An innovative and international working environment • Flexible working time model (depending on position and role) • Health We Care program - including company sports activities • Moving cost support for new employees in accordance with policy • Good connections to public transport - station in direct proximity • Transportation cost support in accordance with policy • One of the best canteens in the area with healthy and various meals • Attractive location in the heart of the Alps with various outdoor sports and leisure possibilities Your Responsibilities: • Act as system owner for ignition systems within the Jenbacher engineering organization, reporting to the Head of Controls Engineering • Lead design, development, and continuous improvement of ignition systems for all gas engine product lines • Explore emerging ignition technologies and help shape multi-generation product strategy • Gather requirements and drive technical execution of ignition-related development programs within cross-functional teams • Technically lead development projects from initial specification to successful field validation, reporting status and outlook to leadership • Support technical qualification of suppliers and contribute to root cause analysis activities in the field • Collaborate closely with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, gaining exposure to innovative technologies and leadership development opportunities Your Profile: • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, with at least 8 years of development experience in ignition systems for reciprocating engines • Recognized expert in the field, with references to relevant technical publications • Deep expertise in high voltage applications and theory, and solid understanding of manufacturing processes for ignition components and key suppliers • Experience applying Design for Reliability methods (FMEA, ALT, HALT testing) in development • Structured, process-oriented approach aligned with engineering best practices • Strong communication skills in English; German language skills are an advantage • Experience working in international, multi-cultural, cross-functional teams • Willingness to be based at headquarters in Jenbach and to travel globally 4-5 times per year for up to 2 weeks per trip At INNIO, we offer an attractive compensation package that is above the collective agreement for the metal industry.
